Every time you leave your work place in disarray, you lose one hour of work a day. You can just imagine the cost it would mean to your company if you add up all the hours that you lose in a year. It could have meant more profits or savings. In this crisis, it might mean breaking even. Therefore, it is important to keep your office organized.
1. Keep everything at a distance your arm can reach. Your computer, filing cabinet, the printer, ball pens and notepads, the phone – all of these should be within reaching distance. This is so you won’t have to stand up every time just to get something and waste precious time.
2. The ideal working table is that of a U-shaped where you surrounded by space to put on all of the stuff you are working on without standing or moving away from your comfortable position.
Another thing to invest in is in a comfortable swiveling chair which has good back support. This will help you avoid straining your back. And when you need to work from one surface to the other, all you need to do is rotate your chair. Comfort and ease of use equates to more output.
3. Check the lay-out of your office space. There are ways of arranging the tables and chairs, the lighting, or even the view from the window of to maximize the efficiency from the employees.
#4 Clean and organize your work space regularly. To have an untidy and disorganized working place will affect your mood and will decrease your energy level in doing your work. If possible, de -clutter your work area first thing in the morning, before you start your work or while sipping your coffee and planning the day’s work.
When you do regular cleaning up and organizing your things, it’s not anymore difficult to maintain and of course it will make your day good and your business as well.
Enjoying doing your work is just like doing something you like. You feel relaxed and free from stress. So keep organize, love your work and earn a lot!
